Bengal Government Extends RERA Coverage To Small Residential Projects



In a significant move to strengthen buyer protection in the real estate sector, the West Bengal government has revised the size criteria for residential projects to fall within the purview of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The recent notification issued by the state's housing department aims to extend the coverage of the buyer-friendly law to a larger pool of small-sized projects, ensuring construction quality and transparent dealings with homebuyers.
