Ahmedabad Metro Gears Up For Expansion: Trials Begin For GIFT City Link

The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has commenced trial runs for the much-anticipated Phase II of the Ahmedabad metro, marking a significant step towards connecting the city with the state capital, Gandhinagar, and the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City).

Trials Begin for GIFT City Link:

On Friday, February 23rd, 2024, GMRC initiated trial runs for Phase II operations, starting with a small section between GNLU station and Dholakuva. This initial phase focuses on testing the system's functionality and ensuring smooth operations before extending the trials to GIFT City in the coming days.
